Hiking - Much More Than Just Exercise

Many people think that hiking is just another form of exercise. While this is technically true, hiking is also much more. The first thing that makes hiking more than just exercise is the fact that hiking takes place in nature. There is something very powerful about nature and being in nature. I'm one of those people who believe that if more people spent more time in nature, we would have many fewer problems in this world. Many of our greatest thinkers believed in the power of nature as well. Albert Einstein said of nature, "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."
Hiking affords a person the opportunity to be in nature, which in and of itself makes it much more than just exercise. Hiking can be done in any outdoor setting, but I personally love hiking in mountains. Hiking to the top of a mountain is incredibly rewarding. Not only because you hiked to the top, but once there you are usually rewarded with a view that isn't possible anywhere else. Even from an airplane, views are different that from standing on top of a mountain that you just climbed. This seems to be one of those laws of nature that can't be fooled with. The bottom line is that the view is never as good as it is when you hike to the top of the mountain.
Not only does hiking involve you receiving unequalled access to views of nature, it also affords you incredible emotional feeling. For me, there is no drug that you can take (and I've tried a lot of them) that will give you the incredible feeling of accomplishment that finishing a good hike gives you. And this feeling costs nothing. Nothing, other than your time and effort. What could be a better deal than that?
So the next time that you get the opportunity, go for a hike. Spend some time hiking in nature and let her help you with anything that you may need. I think William Blake put it beautifully, when he said, "The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself." Amen.

Glacier National Park - Hikers Paradise

If hiking is your forte, Glacier National Park is the place for you. Located in beautiful Northwest Montana, the views and natural beauty of the park are hard to beat anywhere in the United States. With over 700 mikes of trails, Glacier National Park offers opportunities for not only short hikes, but extended backpacking trips as well. Although the park is open all year long, because of weather considerations, the best time for hikers to visit the park is from late May to early September.
Glacier National Park offers hikers some of the best mountains scenery that can be found anywhere in the world. Plenty of waterfalls, streams, and lakes make finding water to cool off in a breeze. As a matter of fact, there are more than 120 named lakes within the parks boundaries. How many glaciers are in Glacier National Park? As of 2005, only 27 actual glaciers remain in Glacier National Park.
The chances of seeing wildlife while hiking is very good in Glacier National Park. With the remote nature of the park, wildlife abounds. Some of the wildlife that is encountered on a fairly regular basis would include: Mountain goats, bighorn sheep, white tailed & mule deer, moose, elk, black bear, and even the occasional grizzly bear. Most hikers choose to carry bear spray, just in case they startle a grizzly bear. Obviously smaller mammals such as squirrels and gophers abound as well. Many species of birds can be found as well for those hikers interested in bird watching.
For the hiker, Glacier National Park is literally a paradise. Offering everything hikers looks for as far as terrain is concerned. The park is also home to Lake Macdonald. A very large, cold, and pristine mountain lake that is as gorgeous as anything that you've ever laid your eyes on. A couple hors worth of hiking can result is some incredible views of this and other beautiful lakes. It's important to be honest with yourself before heading out on a trail within the park. A trail that has 2000 vertical feet of elevation gain is not an easy trail. It may be nearly impossible for those out of shape or who is not use to hiking. You'll have a much better time hiking in Glacier National Park by knowing your limits. Pat attention to the degree of difficulty of the trails you choose to hike. There are many easy, scenic hikes in Glacier Park that are not much more difficult that walking down the block so there is no reason to put yourself in any danger.
The bottom line is that if you're a hiker, Glacier National Park is the place for you. For the avid or even beginning hiker, Glacier National Park will resemble heaven on earth in more ways than one. Our national parks are truly a treasure, and in many ways Glacier is the crowned jewel.

Glacier National Park – A Hikers Paradise

If you like to hike, Glacier National Park is the vacation destination for you. There are also over 730 miles of trails for hikers to enjoy within Glacier National Park. That's a lot of hiking. The park also boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the west. I've been to both Yellowstone and Glacier and in my opinion; Glacier National Park has better scenery than Yellowstone. I realize that if you haven't been to Glacier you may think I'm crazy, but taking nothing away from Yellowstone, I personally think Glacier National Park offers even better scenery.
For those of you interested in viewing wildlife while hiking, Glacier won't disappoint in this area either. There is always the opportunity to see wildlife, some of which would include: Black bears, Grizzly bears, Foxes, Coyote's, Porcupines, Gophers, Squirrels, White tailed Deer, Mule Dear, Moose, Mountain goats, and Bighorn Sheep. For those hikers interested in seeing wildlife, Glacier National Park will not disappoint.
Glacier National Park is one of the largest and most intact ecosystems in North America. There are over fifty glaciers within the park, thus the name. There are also over 200 lakes and streams in Glacier National Park. The largest lake is Lake Macdonald, and the various streams and river hold nice populations of wild trout. With all of this water in the park, getting too hot won't be a problem. Just be careful, because the shocking cold of glacier water is sometimes quite a surprise.
For all of you hikers that like to catch fish while on a hike, Glacier National Park is the place for you as well. There are tons of lakes and streams within the park that wild trout call home. Native Rainbow, brook, and Cutthroat trout can all be found within the boundaries of Glacier National Park. The park has special regulations for anglers so make sure you inquire at a ranger station before wetting a line.
For hiking Glacier National Park is hard to beat. Whether it be a little day hike or you're looking to spend multiple days camping and hiking, Glacier National Park can accommodate everyone. For you next hiking vacation, give Glacier National Park the consideration it deserves. You'll be glad you did and have some of the best hiking there is to be had in the Rocky Mountains.

Florida Fishing

Because of Florida's geographic location, saltwater fishing is obviously the focus of much of the fishing discussion in the state of Florida. The state of Florida has more than 3 million acres of lakes and 12,000 miles of rivers and streams that encompass the freshwater fishery in the state of Florida. In this article, freshwater fishing is going to be the focus, as saltwater fishing is in many ways an entirely different world to explore. As mentioned above, there is plenty of fresh water within the state of Florida for the freshwater angler to explore.
Two of the more popular freshwater fish to angle for in Florida have to be the Largemouth Bass and the Crappie. Largemouth bass for the shear sport and Crappie because they are considered such a delicacy. Largemouth Bass fishing in Florida is much like Largemouth Bass fishing anywhere in the southern United States. The largest lake to explore for Largemouth Bass in the state of Florida has to be Lake Okeechobee. The massive lake is a 730 square mile, relatively shallow lake with an average depth of nine feet, and is the second-largest freshwater lake in the continental United States. That's correct folks, the 2nd largest lake in the continental United States! That's a lot of water to hunt Largemouth bass in. There are also plenty of crappie within Lake Okeechobee for anglers to attempt to catch.
A very effective method of presenting live bait in Florida (especially worms and minnows) is to use what's called a set of gang hooks. A set of gang hooks is simply two small hooks tied in tandem, thus presenting the bait in a completely natural manner. Gang hooks are the best way to fish with worms, as many fishermen do, and aren't too bad for minnows either. The angler simply hooks the lips of the minnow through the top hook, and leaves the second hook free. Size 8 or 10 gang hooks work best for minnow fishing.
Florida fishing licenses are quite affordable as well. A resident fishing license will run about $15, and you can add a saltwater license as well for another $10. A non resident fishing license is under $35, and of course a weekly non resident license is available as well. You won't break the bank on your fishing license in the state of Florida, that's for sure. There are even lifetime licenses available for those anglers who fish a lot in Florida and don't intend on leaving.
The bottom line is that Florida is a great state for fishing. Not only is it affordable, but there are a ton of options as well. Who can argue with the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the United States? Not to mention the fact that this article didn't even touch on the incredible saltwater fishing opportunities that Florida has to offer. Florida is a virtual fishing paradise.

Inflatable Fishing Boats - A Viable Alternative

What, you've never considered an inflatable boat for fishing? You may want to. If you want to talk about a quality alternative to high cost boats, inflatable fishing boats are the way to go. Not only are they a ton less expensive than traditional boats, they are amazingly convenient as well. Imagine being able to carry your fishing boat in the trunk of your car, then simply inflating it when you arrive at your fishing destination? And I'm not referring to children's play toys when I refer to inflatable fishing boats. I'm referring to high quality inflatable fishing boats. The kind of quality that can stand up to not only a dogs paws, but also class IV rapids and being pounded on with a hammer!
Quality fishing boats like I'm referring to come in a variety of styles. Some of the styles that I'm referring to are kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats, and even motor mount boats, all of which are inflatable. There is no better way to navigate small river than with a quality inflatable fishing boat. I personally like to fish small rivers and my inflatable pontoon boat is a godsend. The efficiency with which I can cover water is almost unreal. My fishing buddy prefers his inflatable kayak to accomplish the same thing on small rivers.
If you don't like the idea of spending upwards of $10,000 for a fishing boat, do a little research on quality inflatable fishing boats. I think you'll be glad you did. The best manufacturers even have package deals to help you save money and many times even include shipping and handling. The bottom line is that a quality inflatable fishing boat may just be the answer that your looking for.

The Best Inflatable Canoes Have These 3 Things in Common

If you are in the market for an inflatable canoe you need to make sure that whatever type you choose to purchase has these 3 things in common. Wasting money on an inferior product is something that doesn't need to happen. As long as the inflatable canoe has these three things in common you'll know that you're purchasing a quality product, and purchasing a quality product is key when you're dealing with inflatable canoes.
You can go out to your local box store, pick up an inflatable canoe and be on the water in a matter of minutes, but although this is inexpensive and convenient, it doesn't mean that you're getting a quality product. If you purchase an inflatable boat from a manufacturer that believes in quality your boat will last for many years.
So, what are the 3 things that your boat needs to have in common? I'm sure you can guess the first thing, but here they are (listed in no particular order).
  1. Quality Workmanship - Quality workmanship means that your boat is manufactured by a quality manufacturer. How do you know if a manufacturer makes a quality boat? First, they will have been in business for at least 10 years. Second, they will stand behind their products with money back guarantees so if you aren't satisfied the manufacturer will refund the money that was invested. Third, they will use quality materials to manufacture their inflatable canoes. You want to look for denier polyester-supported high-pressure fabric with electronic-welded seams.
  2. Manufacturer Warranty - Whatever type of inflatable boat you choose, make sure that the company you purchase from included a manufacturer warranty of at least two years. This way if something unusual happens, you're covered and your investment is safe. A manufacturer warranty of at least two years is very important when dealing with inflatable canoes of any kind. The longer the warranty, the better.
  3. Skegs For Maneuverability - Skegs are simply a pair of fins attached to the bottom inflatable canoe or kayak. Skegs allow you to track smoothly through the water as you paddle. Inferior inflatable canoes don't have skegs and wander across the top of the water, wasting your paddling effort.
A quality inflatable boat will usually cost from $300 to $1800 but will last you for many years. Keep in mind that it's not at all uncommon for quality inflatable canoes to last for at least 10 years! As long as whatever inflatable boat you choose has these 3 things in common, you'll be good to go and will be happy with your investment.

An Alternative to High Cost Canoes

For those of you in the market for a canoe, have you ever considered an inflatable canoe? In this day and age an inflatable canoe is truly a quality alternative to high cost canoes. A traditional canoe can cost upwards of $2,500 whereas a quality inflatable canoe can be purchased for under $500. This is a vast difference and one that any frugal shopper should be aware of. What's interesting about this is that an inflatable canoe can be every bit as durable and a ton more convenient than a traditional canoe.
So not only are inflatable canoes less expensive than traditional canoes, they are also more convenient. What do I mean by this? Simply the fact that an inflatable canoe can be inflated and deflated as needed makes it a ton more convenient than a traditional canoe. Imagine being able to carry your canoe in the trunk of your car, and then inflating it as needed. In many ways this is the very definition of convenience.
The biggest factor to consider in terms of inflatable canoes is the manufacturer. You want to purchase your inflatable canoe from a quality manufacturer. If you purchase from a quality manufacturer your inflatable canoe will last you for many years without any problems. So, how do you know that you're dealing with a quality manufacturer? There are a couple of things to look for.
A quality manufacturer of inflatable canoes will stand behind their products with things like money back guarantees, free shipping, and/or trial periods. These types of incentives tell you that the manufacturer believes in their products and is confident you will like them. If not, they will take care of you. These are some of the things to look for when in the market for an inflatable canoe.
The bottom line is that inflatable canoes are a true alternative to high cost canoes. Why spend thousands of dollars when you don't have to? As long as you buy from a quality manufacturer who stands behind their products, your inflatable canoe will perform and last as long as any traditional canoe. Do some research an find out for yourself all that inflatable canoes have to offer.

Which Type Suits You?

When you're in the market for a new boat, sometimes the cost of traditional boats is a bit overwhelming. Not only are traditional boats expensive, they are sometimes very inconvenient as well. Having to trailer your boat from here to there can become a real problem. If either of these issues has come up in your experience, it may be time to look into an inflatable boat.
There are a ton of different kinds of inflatable boats available on the market today, but which type is best for you? In this article, inflatable boats - which type suits you, I'm going to discuss some of the options that are available. With the convenience that inflatable boats offer the water lover, they have become a viable option for anyone (especially if they are interested in saving some money). The economical aspect of inflatable boats is hard to beat. In this article I'm going to lay out the options as best I can, with the hopes of helping you make an informed decision. Below, we will discuss the good points of each of the most popular varieties:
  • Inflatable Pontoon Boats - These boats are perfect for 1 or 2 people to travel a flowing river. They are basically two inflatable pontoons with a seat or two attached to the pontoons. These boats are really cool. They are great for those of you who like to fish in rivers. The amount of water that can be covered with the help of a personal pontoon boat will make walking and wading a thing of the past. With an inflatable pontoon boat an angler can float to a good stretch of river, stop, and then fish the stretch. This is an incredible advantage to any angler.
  • Kayaks - we all know what a kayak is, but in the case of inflatables there is probably more offered than you may think. Again, the convenience of being able to fit your kayak in the trunk of your vehicle is pretty neat. And the price difference between inflatable and traditional kayaks is significant. A kayak is a great way for 1 or 2 people to explore a lake as well as a river. Just because you're dealing with a kayak, doesn't mean you have to be dealing with whitewater.
  • Motor Mount Boats - These boats are what you may think of when you think of an inflatable boat, except for the fact that they have floorboards in them and motors can be attached to them. They come in various sizes and can fit from 3 to 7 adults comfortably! Runabouts are a viable alternative to spending tens of thousands of dollars on a "traditional" boat. Runabouts can also be called motor mount boats.
  • Personal Sailboats - That's right, there are even inflatable sail boats available in this day and age. These aren't big enough to sleep in or anything, but they are a nice little sail boat for 1 to 2 people. For those of you who love to sail, these are like little 'personal' sailboats. And again, they're inflatable, so they fit in the trunk of your car or the storage in your RV. What could be more convenient? Inflatable sail boats are becoming quite popular.
  • The Paddleski - Paddle ski's are a hybrid. Think of them as ½ kayak and ½ "normal" boat. A paddleski is probably the most versatile boat on the water, whether that boat is inflatable or not. A small motor can even be attached to a paddleski without any problem whatsoever. When it comes to versatility, a Paddleski may be your best bet.
  • Canoes - Okay, inflatable canoes are very much the same as inflatable kayaks, but they are a bit larger and wider. This means that for activities like fishing, an inflatable canoe is a great bet. On lazy rivers, an inflatable canoe could be just what the doctor ordered.
The bottom line is that you should now be able to figure out what type of inflatable boat is right for you. No matter what you're trying to accomplish on the water an inflatable boat can help. You may be an angler, explorer, kayaker, or sailing fanatic, whatever the case may be, and inflatable boat can offer you amazing convenience and affordability. Affordability is probably the biggest aspect of inflatable boats. Inflatable boats literally cost a fraction of a traditional boat.
So, the next time that you think a new boat is too expensive, keep in mind that there are options available. All you have to do is research your options a little bit, and keep an open mind. I'm not referring to "your mothers" inflatable boats. There are quality boats available for very affordable prices in today's marketplace.

Inflatable Boats - The Best Styles For Fishing

For many of us, traditional boats are economically out of reach, which makes us look at other alternatives. There of course are used boats available, but finding a quality and affordable used boat can be like finding the proverbial needle in a haystack. This leads us to look for other alternatives to the cost of high priced boats.
About ten years ago, this search led me to discover inflatable boats. I've used many types of inflatable boats, and in this article I'm going to provide you with some of the good points about the styles that I've used for fishing. Use this information to your advantage if you're ever in the market for one of these watercraft.
  1. Float Tubes - While this style of inflatable boat is the smallest, it is probably the best known style for fishing. These are the boats that you sit in and fish from. In other words you are floating in the water, thus the name float tube. Float tubes are very popular among fly fishermen. If you're a spin fisherman float tubes can be fished from, but I personally find them clumsy and difficult use for spin fishing. Although they may seem like they would be uncomfortable, nothing could be further from the truth. Float tubes are extremely comfortable to sit in, and can be used for hours.
  2. Kayaks & Canoes - Inflatable kayaks and canoes are a great alternative to high priced boats. One of the keys to purchasing these inflatable boats is to buy a quality product. How do you know that you're dealing with a quality product? Make sure that the manufacturer stands behind their products with a money back guarantee. The other thing that the manufacturer should offer is a trial period, so you can find out for yourself how you like the boat. Inflatable canoes and kayaks are very versatile, and quite affordable, as well as being easy to fish from.
  3. Pontoons - What. You've never heard of an inflatable pontoon boat? These might be the best bet for almost any fisherman. Pontoons are my personal favorite and, and the style that I personally fish from 85% of the time. These inflatable boats allow you to sit much higher in the water, which I like, and in some cases actually have a platform to stand on. In other words you are completely above the water! The FoldCat pontoon boat is my personal favorite, and is great to fish from. The smaller 1-man pontoons are also great to fish from and open up otherwise inaccessible fishing areas.
Any of these styles of inflatable boats are great for fishing. Have their good and bad points, depending on your favorite type of fishing. For example, if you're a fly fisherman a float tube or 1 man pontoon is probably your best bet. If you're a bass fisherman on the other hand, a kayak or FoldCat will be right up your alley. The bottom line is that the 3 styles mentioned above are all great for fishing.

Not What You May Be Thinking

Would you love to have a boat to go fishing, or kayaking, or just exploring on your local lake or river? But don't have the thousands of dollars that are necessary to have a traditional boat? Or maybe you like to camp or have an RV and want a boat to take along with you that doesn't involve all the hassle of a trailer and such? It may be time for you to give inflatable boats a look see. Inflatable boats have come a long way since the days of that two person blue and white raft that you used to have when you were a kid.
Imagine being able to drive 20 miles into the mountains, then hiking a couple of miles to a secluded mountain lake? Then imagine doing the exact same thing with a boat? No pulling a trailer behind the vehicle or carrying a canoe? No, with an inflatable you can carry it in your vehicle and then in a backpack. With the help of a lightweight foot pump, you have a boat on the aforementioned lake! How nice would that be?
In the 21st century this isn't a dream, it's a reality. If you're in need of a boat (and don't have a ton of money) it may be time to look into a quality inflatable. There are all kinds of places to find info on such things, just do a search on the net. Inflatable boats are a truly affordable and convenient alternative to a traditional boat. Many years ago I bought a used "traditional" boat to save money. At the time it was an affordable alternative to my boat problem. To make a long and tedious story short, in the long run I wasted four times what the boat cost me, just maintaining it. It was a terrible experience. I won't buy a used boat ever again because of that experience.
Don't waste your time and money going through an experience such as the one I went through. In hindsight, a quality inflatable would have been the way to go. Not to mention the fact that had I bought a quality inflatable boat, I'd more than likely still have it today. And it would have cost my a fraction of the money the "traditional" boat cost me.
The bottom line, as I've said, is that inflatable boats have come a long way and are now a viable alternative when it comes to buying a boat. I realize what the idea of an inflatable boat conjures up in your mind, but what I'm saying is that they may not be what your thinking.

Inflatable Boats - For Any Budget

When many people think of inflatable boats it conjures up visions of play toys for a swimming pool. This is not what I'm referring to in this article. I'm referring to quality inflatable boats that last for many years. There are many types on quality inflatable boats on the market today. Some of these would include kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats, and even sail boats. Yes, I said sail boats. There are even inflatable sail boats available for those who are interested.
The bottom line is that there are inflatable boats available for almost any budget, and these boats are a viable alternative to high cost boats. Whatever style of inflatable boat you choose to invest in, as I alluded to earlier, you want to make sure your purchase a quality product. When it comes to inflatable boats buying a quality product is of the utmost importance. Next, I'm going to discuss what to look for when it comes to a quality inflatable.
The first thing to look for is that the manufacturer will stand behind their product. How do they do this? By offering things like money back guarantees and trial periods. Everyone knows what a money back guarantee is, it's pretty self explanatory. Trial periods are pretty self explanatory as well, but nonetheless important. If the manufacture is willing to let you try their inflatable boat for 2 months, for example, this is a good thing. The bottom line is that you want to buy from a manufacturer that will stand behind their product.
Purchasing a quality product from a quality manufacturer and you'll be very happy. The freedom that these types of boats provide is unparalleled. With an inflatable boat you can easily take it with you wherever you would like or simply keep in inflated for long periods of time. Imagine being able to easily take your kayak with you in the trunk of your car? Then, once you arrive at your destination, simply pumping it up. This is the freedom that many inflatable boats offer the consumer.
Whether you choose an inflatable kayak or the popular inflatable pontoon boat, as long as you purchase from a quality manufacturer you will be happy for many years. I know I've had my FoldCat pontoon boat for more than 15 years, and I couldn't be happier. Whether fishing in a river or just crossing my favorite lake, my inflatable pontoon boat serves me well. You will have the same experience as long as you do you due diligence and get your hands on a quality product.

Inflatable Boats

Inflatable boats are not only a cost effective alternative to traditional boats; they are also amazingly functional and also quite convenient. When I speak of inflatable boats, I'm not referring to children's play toys that you see in your local pool. I'm referring to quality inflatable boats that are manufactured by professional companies using state of the art materials. As a matter of fact, did you know that quality inflatable boats can withstand a dogs paws as well as being taken in class IV rapids? Just the fact that they can withstand a dog walking in them is amazing.
Inflatable boats come in a variety of styles for almost any situation. There are inflatable kayaks, boats, motor mount boats, canoes, pontoon boats, and even sail boats! No matter what type of activity you enjoy, there is more than likely an inflatable boat that would suit your needs perfectly. Whether you're into fishing, camping, Rv-ing, floating rivers, bird watching, or whatever, there's an inflatable boat for you.
The convenience of being able to put your boat in the trunk of your car or compartment on your RV is unmatched. Imagine being able to take your boat with you without having to pull a trailer or tie it to the top of your vehicle? This is what makes quality inflatable so special. There is no more fussing with such things when you own a quality inflatable boat. With a quality inflatable, you simply pull it out, inflate it, and you're ready to enjoy all that the river or lake has to offer.
The cost of ownership with a quality inflatable boat is a fraction of a traditional boat as well. Quality inflatable boats cost less and are more convenient, so why wouldn't you consider them? Many manufacturers offer "package" deals that include free shipping and accessories, so everything you need comes at one time. This makes purchasing a quality inflatable boat make that much more sense. If you've never thought about it, you may want to give the idea of quality inflatable boats some consideration.

Inflatable Bass Boats

When most people think of a bass boat they think of a boat with a huge outboard motor that goes about 200 miles per hour and is more brightly colored than the tamest stock car. While these bass boats are extremely popular and effective for chases bass, they have one distinct drawback. They can cost upwards of twenty thousand dollars.
For those of you with a little "slower paced" attitude and an "every mans" budget, you may want to consider inflatable bass boats. These boats cost a fraction of what traditional bass boats cost, and can be just as effective for bass fishing. This is especially true for those of you who fish smaller lakes or tend to travel a lot like RV enthusiasts.
Inflatable bass boats come in many different styles as well. From inflatable canoes and kayaks to inflatable pontoon boats both large and small, when it comes to inflatable bass boats there's a style for you. It all depends on your personal 'style' and the functionality you're looking for.
Inflatable canoes and kayaks are great for buzzing around small lakes or ponds, but are fairly uncomfortable to fish from, especially for bass. These inflatable bass boats are best suited for smaller rivers. Inflatable pontoons are also great for small lakes and ponds and can be much more comfortable to fishing from, especially the larger inflatable pontoon boats equipped with a platform for standing. These boats are also great for those of you who enjoy fly fishing for bass.
The most popular and functional of these inflatable pontoon boats is the FoldCat by Sea Eagle. These inflatable bass boats are incredibly comfortable to fish from, are very maneuverable, and again cost a fraction of what a traditional bass boat costs. The FoldCat even comes with a free trial period and free shipping most of the time, so as far as inflatable bass boats go; the FoldCat is a great choice.
No matter what type of inflatable bass boat you choose, the point is that these boats are a great option for the frugal angler. The convenience that inflatable boats offer is difficult to match as well. Imagine being able to pack your bass boat into a bag or two and store it in your trunk or RV? Then simply inflating it when you reach your fishing destination? If this isn't the height of convenience, I don't know what is.

Quality Inflatable Pontoon Boat

What, you're in the market for an inflatable pontoon boat and you're considering one of the FoldCat boats? That's p[probably a good idea. When it comes to a quality inflatable pontoon boat the line of FoldCat boats is hard to beat. In this article I'm going to outline some of the reasons why this variety of inflatable pontoon boat should be considered, especially for those of you who like to wet a line.
There are many manufactures who make inflatable pontoon boats, but that certainly doesn't mean that all of these types of boats are created equal. In this article I wan to focus on the word quality. In my opinion, if you're going to spend your hard earned money on an inflatable pontoon boat, you want to make sure that you're purchasing a quality product.
So, what does the word "quality" mean? Dictionary.com defines the word quality as: marked by a concentrated expenditure of involvement, concern, or commitment. This is what you should be looking for anytime that you're going to spend your hard earned money, and this is exactly what FoldCat boats offer. It's almost as if the manufacturers of this inflatable pontoon boat look at that definition every day.
So what are some of the aspects that make these pontoon boats so special? Let's begin with the fact that most inflatable pontoon boats require that your feet hang in the water, which means that you need to wear waders. This is fine some of the time, but can be a complete problem in many others. With the FoldCat you are on a platform, and thus standing above the water. There is no need for waders when fishing from a FoldCat boat.
Another aspect that makes this inflatable boat special is the fact that you can try it out before you make a purchase. This is another mark of quality. The manufacturer is so sure of their product that they will let you try it out, and if you don't like it you get you money back. In other words there is a trial period, so you can truly the boat out and then make the final decision. This is another aspect that FoldCat Boats have to offer.
The last mark of quality that I want to mention is the product itself. What's the most important aspect of an inflatable pontoon boat? The pontoons of course. This means that if you're in the market for this type of boat, you want to make sure that the pontoons are of the highest quality. This is exactly what FoldCat boats have to offer. How about being able to stand up to the claw end of a claw hammer? Well these boats can and do (there's even a video to prove it!)
Whatever your decision is, hopefully this article provided you with some information to help you make an informed decision about not only FoldCat Boats, but inflatable pontoon boats in general. It seems to me that better decisions are always made by doing a little research.

The Best Inflatable Pontoon Boat

When it comes to inflatable pontoon boats, it's hard to find a better option than the FoldCat Boat. In this article I'm going to review and explain a little about what the FoldCat inflatable pontoon boat has to offer. This inflatable pontoon boat is the answer to many anglers' dreams.
The first thing I want to do is go over some of the reasons other inflatable pontoon boats are such a pain in the butt. They are very time consuming to assemble. They don't have any type of "floor". They have more parts to put together than your kids new Barbie playhouse. In most cases your legs are in the water, rather than being above the water.
The FoldCat boat is unique because not only is it assembled in five minutes, it also positions you above the water on platforms. You don't have to wear waders with the FoldCat. You can wear whatever fishing clothes you choose, because getting wet is not necessary with the FoldCat inflatable pontoon boat. You are sitting on top of the water while fishing, just like with a traditional boat.
This boat is truly a quality alternative to all of the high cost boats out there. The FoldCat is great for lake or river fishing, and can even be used while fishing your favorite trout stream. Its maneuverability is unsurpassed and its toughness is unparalleled. This is the type of boat that will last many years (heck, I've had mine for over 8 years!)
How do you know that all of this is true? Well, obviously you don't, which is why the manufacturer offers a trail period! This way you know that the FoldCat Boat is the right boat for you. Oh yea, and in many cases they will give you free shipping as well. Any company that will stand behind their products with trial periods and free shipping is probably a company that you want to deal with.
When it comes to inflatable pontoon boats, you'll be hard pressed to find one that offers more options and has more guarantees than this one. The FoldCat is probably the best inflatable pontoon boat on the market today. What, you don't believe me? Good, do your research and find out for yourself. At the end of the day, I think you'll come to the same conclusion.

Which Personal Boat is Best For Fishing

Are you considering a personal boat for fishing? There are two main varieties of personal fishing boats, the pontoon and the float tube. In this article I'm going to list some of the pros and cons of each variety so that you can make a more informed decision. Which personal boat is best for fishing? The answer really comes down to personal preference and they type of fishing and water that you enjoy fishing.
Do you like fishing in lakes or rivers and streams? Which type of water do you enjoy fishing the most? Do you like spin fishing or fly fishing? Are you planning on having to carry your personal boat into remote areas? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself to determine which type of personal boat is best for you. Below are the high and low points for each variety of personal boat, the float tube and the pontoon.
  1. Float Tubes - Float tubes are great for fishing because they are small, compact, lightweight, and can be quite comfortable. Any quality float tube comes with an easy front entry design and a backrest for comfort. There are various designs for improved tracking and steering. Float tubes are steered with your legs, on which you wear special float tube flippers. When using a float tube for the first couple of times you feel much like what I imagine a drunken duck would feel like. This feeling passes with practice however, and before long you'll be right at home in your float tube. Float tubes are good for fly fishing, but can be a bit difficult to fish from for spin fishermen. Being so close to the water makes casting challenging for the spin fisherman. Float tubes are great for small lakes, and can be easily carried into remote fishing locations.
  2. Pontoon Boats - Personal pontoon boats are more expensive than float tubes, but are much more comfortable to fish from. They consist of two inflatable pontoons with a seat (or seats) in between the pontoons. In some models your feet hand in the water, and in others you sit on a platform above the water. These personal boats are steered with oars and are extremely maneuverable. There are many varieties of these personal pontoon boats available. If you like to fish in rivers, a pontoon boat is the way to go. They are more stable and maneuverable than float tubes in flowing current. The one downside of pontoon boats is the fact that they can be a challenge to carry, if you like to fish remote areas. No matter what type of fishing you engage in (fly fishing or spin fishing) a personal pontoon is a wonderful fishing tool. These boats work well for either type of fishing.
Armed with this information, you should be able to make a much more informed decision about which type of personal boat suits you best. Both the float tube and the pontoon have their place, and at the end of the day you may want one of each so you can pick and choose depending on the fishing situation.

Fishing Boats For Every Angler

Wouldn't we all like to have a boat available for fishing? The problem is that fishing boats are incredibly expensive, and the average angler simply can't afford to buy them. Are there fishing boats available for every angler? I used to think that this was impossibility, until I came across the solution to this dilemma. The fishing boats that are available to every angler and won't require you to take out a loan to purchase them are called quality inflatable fishing boats. Before you turn up your nose, and start thinking about those cheap inflatable boats that children play with, hear me out. Quality inflatable boats are a viable alternative as fishing boats for every angler's budget.
When I reference to the word quality, I mean quality. What does this mean? This simply means that the manufacturer stands behind the boats they produce with things like free trial periods and money back guarantees. These manufacturers also offer package deals that include shipping and handling, so that you don't get any surprises right before making the purchase. Not only this but they produce quality boats that stand up to things like dogs walking in them and even being subjected to rapids. When I reference the word quality, I mean quality. Not some boat that you can pick up at your local super-center.
These quality inflatable boats come in a variety of styles from kayaks to pontoon boats and even small sailboats. The inflatable kayaks and pontoon boats are my favorite to be used as fishing boats. Whether you fish in small lakes or rivers, these boats are just what the doctor ordered. Imagine being able to float your favorite trout river in the comfort of your own personal pontoon boat, stopping along the way and fishing all of the good looking holes and runs. I can tell you from experience that it doesn't get much better than this. If you're looking for an affordable fishing boat, a quality inflatable is worth looking in to.

Affordable And Effective

Are there quality fishing boats available that are both affordable and effective? Or does a person have to invest $10,000 or more to get their hands on a quality fishing boat? The questions posed in this article, and the subsequent answers, may surprise you a bit, but my point is that I think there are fishing boats available to the average person that are both affordable and effective.
The type of boat that I'm referring to, and hear me out here, are inflatable. Now I realize that the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the term 'inflatable' are those cheap things that you see in your local super center, but what I'm referring to are quality inflatable boats that are made by companies that stand behind their products. You see, a quality company will make quality boats. And a quality company will also offer things like free trial periods (so you can decide for yourself) and money back guarantees. Quality companies will also offer package deals that include shipping and handling in the price of the boat.
Quality inflatable boats are quite durable, much more durable than you might think in fact. The kind of durability that can stand up to a dog's paws, and even class IV rapids! These quality inflatable boats come in a variety of styles as well, from canoes and kayaks to personal pontoon and motor mount boats. There are even inflatable sail boats for those of you who prefer sailing over fishing. Floating your favorite trout river with your own inflatable kayak or personal pontoon boat is hard to beat. It's sure better than hiking miles and miles along the riverbank, that's for sure.
The bottom line is that affordable and effective fishing boats are available, if you just 'think outside the box' a little bit. Quality inflatable boats offer not only affordability, but amazing flexibility. An inflatable boat can easily be taken from fishing area to fishing area with ease. If you are in need of a boat and don't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars, why not give some quality inflatable boats a look, and see what you think?

Ever Considered An Inflatable Kayak?

Do you like the peace and serenity that comes from floating down a river? Do you like to fish? Imagine the possibility of fishing water that had been inaccessible to you because of high water or overgrown brush? How would you like to easily be able to take your kayak with you in the trunk of your car? If you answered yes to any of these questions, and inflatable kayak may be what you're looking for. And I'm not referring to some children's play toy. I'm referring to an inflatable boat that's strong enough to stand up to a dogs paws, and is even rated for class IV rapids!
Inflatable kayaks are extremely convenient for anyone who enjoys the water. Whether your favorite activity is fishing, hunting, bird watching, kayaking, or simply relaxing while surrounded by the serenity of nature, an inflatable kayak is for you. Technology has advanced to the point that manufacturers are making high quality materials that are extremely rugged and safe. When inflatable boats (kayaks) are made from these materials, they results are amazing! And all for a fraction of the cost of a traditional boat (kayak).
Inflatable kayaks are extremely maneuverable as well. Whether you're using your inflatable kayak to cross a lake, float a river, or shoot down some rapids, their maneuverability will amaze you. Many manufactures sell their boats with paddles, pumps, and seats included for one low price. If you're looking for a wonderful and convenient way to spend time on your favorite body of water, look into a quality inflatable kayak. You won't be disappointed.

Flathead Lake - The Vacation Of A Lifetime

If you've never heard of Flathead Lake and you're considering a vacation, it may be worth looking into. Flathead Lake is the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi river and many people have never heard of it. It's nestled in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, which makes the scenery more than adequate for any traveler. Flathead Lake can definitely provide the vacation of a lifetime.
Flathead Lake is 15 miles wide, 32 miles long, and as deep as 350 feet in places. Yep, it's a big lake. And for those of you that are used to the congestion that many lakes in our country provide, Flathead Lake will seem empty most of the time. It's not uncommon to only see 3 or 4 boats other than right around the launching area. Flathead Lake is as un-congested as any lake you'll ever see.
During the warm months all water sports are in full effect. Water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, swimming, diving, parasailing, sail boating, and fishing are all popular activities. The only downfall to the lake is when the weather gets bad. When the weather gets bad, Flathead Lake can become like a mini-ocean, and you don't want to get caught on it in a small boat.
The fishing on Flathead Lake is quite good, and the lake boasts one of the best Lake Trout fisheries in the country. There are guides throughout the area that can help you catch trophy lake trout. There are even large charter boats that hold more than 20 people! So if fishing is what interests you, Flathead Lake can provide it.
The scenery that the lake provides is as good as you will see anywhere. The beauty of the surrounding mountains is hard to beat. If you're looking for a quick day trip during your vacation, hiking trails are scattered throughout the mountains that surround the lake. And for the more adventurous folks, Glacier National Park is only about 40 miles from Flathead Lake.
All in all, Flathead Lake is a wonderful vacation destination and the place to be if you're interested in anything that has to do with outdoor activities. You will never run out of things to do, and if you time your trip correctly, you may even get to enjoy some delicious Flathead Lake cherries.

Bass Fishing Boat

Every person on the planet that has ever spent time fishing in a bass fishing boat, wants one. They are very convenient and most of them are quite fast. So getting from fishing spot to fishing spot is no problem at all. A traditional bass fishing boat sits very high is the water as well, so with the aid of a trolling motor, the angler is able to fish very shallow water. Most traditional bass fishing boats are also equipped with the latest in fish finding technology, so the angler normally has little problem 'finding' the fish. Getting those fish to bite can be the challenge. The interesting thing is that having one of these traditional bass fishing boats isn't always necessary.
A traditional bass fishing boat, while amazingly nice, comes with a big price tag. A price tag that can easily exceed $25,000! Purchasing a traditional bass fishing boat is literally like purchasing a new car. Sure you can get a used one for a lot less money, but buying a used boat is worse than buying a used car. It can be a real game of Russian roulette; you just never know what's going to happen or how a used boat will perform on the water.
A viable alternative to this bass fishing boat dilemma is to purchase an inflatable bass fishing boat. Personal pontoon type boats make excellent bass fishing boats for smaller bodies of water. They are amazingly comfortable and easy to maneuver. And because they're inflatable, these types of bass fishing boats are sure easy to move from one body of water to the next. Imagine being able to fit your bass fishing boat in your vehicle, rather than towing it behind your vehicle?
Most personal pontoon boats come with either 1 or 2 seats, these seats are then attached to platforms that are also large enough to hold your fishing gear. This type of bass fishing boat really is a great option for smaller bodies of water, and is definitely an option for those of you who travel in an RV. Simply keep your boat in your RV until you get to your destination, take it out, inflate it, and you are ready to fish whatever body of water you happen to be near. These types of boats are a great option for RV users, and again are not only a ton less expensive than traditional bass fishing boats, they are a ton less expensive to transport as well.

Do You Need A Boat For Your Next Weekend Getaway?

Have you ever wished that you had a boat for your next weekend getaway, but don't have the thousands of dollars necessary to buy a boat? It may be time for you to take a look at an inflatable kayak. They are really quite affordable and much more durable than you might have imagined. Although the cost of an inflatable kayak will vary depending on many factors, the bottom line is that an inflatable kayak will be a least a quarter of the cost of a traditional boat.
An inflatable kayak can be folded up into a bag when it's not is use. What could be more convenient than that? Storing a traditional canoe or kayak can be a real pain in the butt. But an inflatable can simply be stored in a bag and taken with you on you next weekend getaway.
Believe it or not, inflatable kayak's can even be used in whitewater like traditional kayaks. Your not going to win any gold medals using an inflatable kayak, but they can still be used in up to class III rapids! You can even find inflatable kayaks with skegs built right into them. For those of you who don't know, skegs help stability while paddling.
If you are in need of a boat for your next weekend getaway, and inflatable kayak may be for you. They aren't like you remember having in your neighborhood swimming pool. Just like everything else on this planet, inflatable kayaks have come a long way, and are now not only affordable, but they are quite serviceable as well.

Convenient Fishing Boats

We're all looking for a convenient fishing boat, right? The problem, at least for me, is that a fishing boat can be an expensive proposition. Much more expensive than my budget will allow as a matter of fact. So are there convenient fishing boats available to the average angler or water enthusiast that don't break the bank? The good news is that I recently realized that there are. These boats are amazingly convenient as a matter of fact. It might sound strange, but the type or boats that I'm referring to are inflatable. That's right, inflatable, but I'm not referring to those toys that kids play with in the local pool. I'm referring to quality inflatable boats that work wonderfully as the most convenient fishing boats that I've ever encountered.
Quality inflatable boats come in a variety of styles from pontoon boats to canoes and kayaks. There are even quality inflatable motor mount boats that sit up to six people available at a fraction of what a traditional boat costs. For my money, there's nothing better than using my inflatable pontoon boat to float and fish my favorite river. It's incredibly maneuverable and the amount of water that can be covered is incredible. There are few things as convenient as fishing my favorite river in the comfort of my inflatable pontoon boat.
When I refer to the word quality, I mean the kind of quality materials and construction that will stand up to rapids and/or a dogs paws. Quality inflatable boats will also be made by manufacturers that offer "package" deals that include shipping and handling as well as free trial periods so that you can make sure the boat works for you. When purchasing an inflatable fishing boat, quality is a key, and these tips will help you make sure that your dealing with a quality company.
The most important thing about convenient fishing boats, in my opinion, is that they are so portable. Imagine being able to carry your boat in the trunk of your car, and then simply inflating it wherever you want to fish? Very few of us fish the same area every time, and with a quality inflatable boat, it goes with you wherever you want to go. And for rivers and small lakes that don't offer boat ramps, it won't matter to you because you don't need a boat ramp when fishing from a quality inflatable boat. Check some out and see for yourself how, without a doubt, inflatable boats are the most convenient fishing boats that you've ever come across

Boating Fun Doesn't Have To Break The Bank

Many water enthusiasts love to spend time at their local lake or river but simply don't have the funds for a boat. A boat can be quite expensive, not only to purchase, but also to maintain. Then there's the cost and pain in the butt that is pulling said boat from here to there. With the price of gas, this can become quite an extra cost. The interesting thing about all of this is that having a boat doesn't have to break the bank.
A viable option for many people is a quality inflatable boat. Now before you roll your eyes and minimize the screen, you should hear me out (or in this case read me out). Inflatable boats aren't like those things you but at the super center and used to play with when you were a kid. Technology has enabled manufacturers to make high quality boats at very affordable prices. So high quality that they stand up to a dog walking inside of them and someone hitting them with a hammer while inflated.
There are inflatable kayaks, sailboats, run-a-bouts, pontoon boats and even motor mount boats. That's right, inflatable boats that you can attach a motor to. And these inflatable boats are a lot less expensive than a traditional boat. Plus they can be easily inflated and deflated and taken with you wherever you want to go. Boating fun simply doesn't have to break the bank.
Imagine the convenience of being able to float and fish your favorite river in your own personal pontoon boat. What could be more convenient? For those of you who don't know, a personal pontoon boat is simply 1 seat (or 2) mounted between a pair of inflatable pontoons. These boats are great for fishing or just relaxing on small lakes and ponds, and floating a river is amazing with the help of a personal pontoon boat. The amount of water that can be covered is truly amazing.
The bottom line is that boating fun doesn't have to be a hassle or break the bank. With the help of a quality inflatable boat, you to can be enjoying boating and all it has to offer. And if you're an angler, an inflatable kayak or pontoon boat can open up all kinds of new water to you, whether that water is in a lake or pond, or in a river.

Affordable Fishing Boats?

Many anglers would love to have a fishing boat but don't have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on such a thing. Most everyone knows that a fishing boat can cost a lot of money, and more than likely won't get used as often as one would like. There's always the option of purchasing a used fishing boat, which is much more affordable, but then there's the reliability problem. I bought an affordable fishing boats that was used about 10 years ago and that thing left my high and dry more than my ex-wife!
Purchasing and affordable fishing boat can be a challenge, to say the least. Although, about a year ago I came across a viable alternative for those of us who don't want to plunk down tens of thousands of dollars for a reliable fishing boat. That alternative is a quality inflatable fishing boat. I emphasize the word quality because quality is important. Quality means that your boat can withstand things like a dog's paws and/or rapids. Quality also means that the manufacturer offers free trial periods and/or package deals. I emphasize the word quality because quality is important. Quality means that your boat can withstand things like a dog's paws and/or rapids. Quality also means that the manufacturer offers free trial periods and/or package deals that include accessories and/or shipping and handling. Manufacturers that produce quality products stand behind their products with such offers, and that's what I'm referring to when I use the word 'quality'.
Inflatable fishing boats come in various styles from kayaks and canoes to pontoon boats. The fact that they are inflatable means that they are actually amazingly convenient. Imagine being able to take your boat with you to various fishing spots in the trunk of your car? Or imagine being able to float and fish down the entire length of your favorite river from the comfort of your own personal Foldcat pontoon boat?
The bottom line is that if you're looking for an affordable fishing boat, and inflatable may be the way to go. They cost a fraction of a traditional boat, and they're convenience will amaze you. Affordable fishing boats might as well mean the same thing as inflatable fishing boats. Take a look for yourself, and see what you think.

Affordable Boats For Any Budget

As summer begins to swing into high gear, having access to a boat can be a great thing. If you enjoy the water and being on, in, or just around it a boat can be a wonderful addition to anyone's summertime repertoire. Whether you're an angler, RV enthusiast, kayaker, sail boat enthusiast, or simply a water enthusiast a boat is a great way to get where you need to go. The problem is that traditional boats are quite expensive and quite frankly a pain in the butt to haul from here to there. There is a viable solution to this problem though.
What's that solution, you ask? That solution is a quality inflatable boat. I emphasize the word quality, because I'm not referring to those inflatable boats that you see in your local pool. I'm referring to quality inflatable boats, such as kayaks, canoes, pontoons, and even sail boats. The kind of quality that can stand up to a dog's paws as well as class IV rapids! The cost of these types of inflatable boats is dramatically less than that of traditional boats.
Not only are these quality inflatables less than traditional boats, they are a ton more convenient as well. Imagine being able to take your boat with you in the trunk of your car or a compartment of your RV? That is what I call convenient. These types of boats easily inflate wherever you would like them to. Then when your done, simply deflate them, and your good to go.
Some of the better manufacturers offer package deals where everything that you need is included for one low price. Many times even shipping and handling is included, so you simply pay for your inflatable boat, and it shows up at your door. The next thing you know, you're out enjoying the water. Just remember, if you're interested in a boat, there's an affordable boat for any budget.

A Quality Alternative To High Cost Boats

Many people would love to have access to a boat to enjoy the water, especially as the weather begins to get more and more hot. The problem with this is that boats are very expensive. As a matter of fact, by the time you add in the cost of the boat, motor, and trailer a boat can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Even a smaller boat like a canoe or kayak can cost close to $5000. What I have found is that there are quality alternatives to high cost boats.
It may not be something that you ever considered before, but a quality inflatable boat may be just what you've been looking for. And I'm not referring to children's play toys that can be taken to the community pool. I'm referring to quality inflatable boats, the likes of which can be taken down class IV rapids and stand up to the punishment of a dogs paws.
Quality inflatable boats come in many different varieties that you may not have been aware of such as: kayaks, pontoon boats, run-abouts that hold up to 5 people, and even sail boats. Imagine the convenience of being able to carry your boat in the trunk of your vehicle, then simply inflating it when you get to the water. What could be more convenient than this?
An inflatable pontoon boat is an amazing way to float a river, whether your intention is relaxation or fishing. The bottom line is that there are quality alternatives to high cost boats, and if you've never looked into them, maybe now's the time?

3 Tips For Purchasing Inflatable Boats

Many people are in the market for a new inflatable boat, and I wanted to provide a few tips that I've learned from experience about inflatable boats, and purchasing them. These tips will save you time and could very well save you a ton of money as well. If you're in the market for an inflatable boat, you understand the convenience they provide. They can be carried from here to there in a bag for God's sake!
The bottom line is that these 3 tips for purchasing an inflatable boat will help you immensely. Before investing any money, at least consider these three tips
  1. Durability - When purchasing an inflatable boat of any kind, durability is a key. We want our boat to last as long as possible, and this means that it must be durable. But how do we know if the boat we're looking at is durable? If you can touch and feel it, you can easily tell, but what about if you want to purchase your inflatable boat on the internet? Then you have to be able to see demonstrations of the potential boats durability. For example, I've seen one manufacturer who shows you pictures of a dog walking in the inflatable bait. If a boat can stand up to a dog's nails, you're probably good to go. The bottom line is that your inflatable boat must be durable.
  2. Quality Manufacturing - What do I mean by this? Simple. The boat you purchase should be made by a quality manufacturer. This means that the manufacturer stands behind their boats with free trial periods. In other words, they will let you try the boat, and see what you think. If you don't like the boat for some reason, they will take it back. Only a company who makes a quality product will allow their customers to have free trials. Keep this tip in mind.
  3. Money Back Guarantees - If you're in the market for an inflatable boat, buy it from a source that offers a money back guarantee. In other words if you're unsatisfied, you get your money back and you can go somewhere else. This is another sign that you're dealing with a quality company Make sure the inflatable boat you purchase is bought from a company that's willing to give you your money back if your not completely satisfied.
Follow these 3 tips for purchasing an inflatable boat and you'll have a much more satisfying experience. The last thing you need to do is waste from two to fifteen hundred dollors on a product that you're not happy with. Following these simple tips will help you avoid any disappointment. Remember to look for quality, a quality inflatable boat is the key to having the best experience possible.

3 Tips For Purchasing A Personal Pontoon Boat

A personal pontoon boat is a great way to get around your favorite body of water, whether that body of water be a small lake or even a river. There are many types of personal pontoon boats on the market today and these 3 tips will help you decipher what to look for when making a purchasing decision. These tips will help you make a much more informed decision, so that you don't end up wasting hundreds of dollars.
Let's begin by explaining what a 'personal pontoon boat' is. As you will find out, many of these types of boats are simply a glorified float tube, but the point is that a personal pontoon boat is a seat with two inflatable pontoons attached, thus creating a boat. As I said, many of these boats, are simple glorified float tubes, in which you still have to wear waders and sit or at least have your feet in the water.
Keep the following 3 tips in mind for purchasing you personal pontoon boat:

  • Comfort - Being comfortable when fishing ids very important, especially when fishing from your own personal boat. These types of boats are generally pretty small and can be quite uncomfortable. This is why looking for one of these types of boats in which you sit above the water is important. This way you don't have to constantly have your feet and or legs in the water, you're sitting above the water. Some of these boats have platforms to stand on, for casting, fighting fish, and stretching your legs. Not to mention the fact, that when you're sitting above the water wearing waders is your choice, not a necessity. I like to wear mine and stop and fish good looking area's, but I don't have to wear them.

  • Durability - You want to purchase a personal pontoon boat that's durable and will stand up to anything that you throw at it. Many of these boats aren't at all durable. Looks for a manufacturer who offers testimonials from satisfied customers and demonstrations to prove durability. Purchasing a durable pontoon boat is integral to your long-term satisfaction.

  • Money Back Guarantee - Purchasing a quality personal pontoon boat means that the manufacturer will offer a money back guarantee if you aren't totally satisfied. In other words, you buy the boat and decide it wasn't what you had hoped, the company will return your money to you. This is a mark of a quality product. Some quality companies offer free trial periods, so that you know what you're getting. This too is the mark of a quality manufacturer, and something you should look for.

  • Keep these three tips in mind the next time you're in the market for a personal pontoon boat. They will save you time, money, and most importantly a lot of heartache. You can receive tips and fishing techniques just like this twice a month, if you're interested. If not, use this information to your advantage when purchasing your next personal pontoon boat.

Inflatable Boats For the Cost Conscious Bass Fisherman

This article is for those of you who are interested in mini bass boats, but don't really know where to begin. I'm going to outline some of the more popular inflatable boats that are used for bass fishing. When it comes to mini bass boats, inflatable boats are certainly a viable alternative, especially for the cost conscious bass fisherman.
Inflatable boats are probably the most cost effective way to outfit yourself with a boat and are certainly some of the most convenient options on the market today. I will list three of the best inflatable boats that are available for bass fishermen and some of the good and bad points of each. This article will give you information about these popular small fishing boats so that you can make an informed purchasing decision.
    1. Outcast Pontoon Boats - These mini bass boats are for one to two anglers. They can be used in any bass fishing situation, but are most conducive for river fishing. The only downside to these mini bass boats is the fact that your feet are in the water, so waders are a good idea. These small fishing boats are powered by a pair of oars and are probably best known as fly fishing boats. These inflatable boats are very high quality and make for excellent boats for one to two anglers
    2. Inflatable Kayaks - Although kayaks aren't normally thought of as "bass boats" inflatable kayaks make excellent mini bass boats. These inflatable boats are also the most cost effective version of mini bass boats. The key is to purchase your boat from a quality manufacturer. A good manufacturer will stand behind their kayak with things like money back guarantees and free trial periods. Although inflatable kayaks will comfortably carry more than one angler, inflatable kayaks are best used by one person if fishing is the goal. Inflatable kayaks are the most cost effective of all small boats, but are probably the least comfortable to fish from.
    3. FoldCat Pontoon Boats - FoldCats are also Pontoon boats with the big difference being the fact that you sit above the water on a platform. These mini boats can be powered by oars or a small outboard motor, the choice is yours. These boats carry from one to four anglers and are probably the best suited of all mini bass boats. These inflatable pontoon boats are great for bass fishing, and cost a fraction of what a traditional bass boat costs. Their portability and ease of use is unmatched by almost any mini bass boat. The value of these boats is best seen in pond and lake fishing situations, although fishing from a FoldCat in medium to large sized rivers works well also.
The bottom line is that any of these mini bass boats are a great choice for the cost conscious bass fisherman. As long as you purchase your inflatable boat from a quality manufacturer your boat will last for many years of fishing enjoyment.

    Fishing Trip Alaska

When you think of taking the fishing trip of a lifetime, what destination comes to mind? More than likely, the state of Alaska. In many ways the state of Alaska is synonymous with fishing. A fishing tip to Alaska is literally the fishing trip of a lifetime. Whether you prefer fresh or saltwater fishing, Alaska has it. The most popular freshwater fish are: four kinds of salmon, rainbow trout, and arctic grayling. When it comes to saltwater the most popular fish are Ling Cod and the mighty Halibut. Halibut can easily weigh over 250 pounds and are prized for their delicious meat. A dinner built around a wonderful fresh halibut steak is hard to beat.
Alaska has the greatest salmon fishing in the world. There are four different species that show up at different times all summer long. That means millions of fish are returning to Alaskan waters throughout the summer, and are therefore available to be caught. The four different species of salmon that can be caught in Alaska's waters are: Sockeye, King, Silver, and Pink. They run up the various rivers at different times, so at any given time there should be some form of salmon run happening. And if not, the Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Arctic Grayling fishing can be phenomenal as well.
A fishing trip to the beautiful state of Alaska also offers some of the most beautiful scenery that can be found anywhere in the entire world. Even if the fishing happened to be bad while you were in Alaska, the beauty that nature has to offer will make the trip well worth while. Hey, this can be used as a selling point to your wife so that you can get your Alaska fishing trip done. The untouched wilderness truly is a national treasure and will certainly make your Alaska fishing trip that much better.
Fishing in Alaska also means trophy fish. A fishing trip in Alaska could literally mean a world record. Alaska's most famous river, The Kenai, holds nearly 2 dozen IFGA world records for various salmon species as well as other fish. This is amazing, and as a matter of fact this incredible river is home to the world record king salmon that weighed in at over 95 pounds! While fishing in Alaska you will literally have a chance of catching a world record fish. In many fishing locations catching a world record wouldn't even be a possibility, but in Alaska it's not only a possibility, it’s a very real possibility.
A fishing trip to Alaska should be on every anglers "things to do before I die" list. Alaska truly does offer fishing and fishing experiences that are unmatched anywhere on this planet. Not only that, but a fishing trip in Alaska also allows you to bring home a couple of coolers full of the most delicious fish that can be found anywhere on the planet as well. If you've never had the pleasure of eating fresh salmon and/or halibut you haven't truly lived, it's as simple as that.

    Fishing Flathead Lake

Flathead Lake is the largest natural body of water found west of the continental divide. It is surrounded by gorgeous mountains on both sides and the water within the lake is home to one of the greatest populations of lake trout in the entire United States. Lake Trout fishing is by far the most popular type of fishing on this lake, but there are many other species of fish present within the lake as well. Some of these species would include: Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike, Bull Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Perch. The bottom line is that Lake Trout are, by far, the fish that most anglers choose to fish for.
Flathead Lake is one of the best lake trout fisheries in the country, with 15-20 pound lake trout being a fairly common occurrence. If you've never fished on Flathead Lake, there are many guides in the area that can take you out for a wonderful day of trout fishing. If you've never fished Flathead Lake, a guide wouldn't be a bad idea, because with the lakes extreme depths finding schools of fish can become a bit tricky. The lake is over 200 feet deep in places. To Fish Flathead Lake effectively, a boat equipped with downriggers is a great idea.
Flathead Lake is also home to an enormous population of Lake Superior Whitefish. In many parts of the country these 3-5 pound beauties are considered a delicacy, and Flathead Lake has plenty of them. In fact in the fall you can even go river fishing for them. Fall is spawning time and they "run" up the Flathead River to spawn. There are so many of them that they get stacked up in almost any hole. In the spring, when the perch fry hatch, Whitefish can be caught in the Elmo area. With the limit of whitefish on Flathead Lake being 100 per angler, a persons freezer can be filled on one fishing trip, although cleaning that many fish would be a nightmare!
Flathead Lake not only offers beautiful scenery, but it offers the angler many opportunities as well. As mentioned earlier, a guide is never a bad idea, especially on a lake of this size. Flathead Lake is 15 miles wide and 32 miles long, so that's a lot of water to cover if you're just visiting. A trip to a local tackle shop to pick up a map and ask a few questions will probably suffice as well.
The bottom line is that fishing opportunities abound in Flathead Lake. And if you happen to be in the market for a trophy Lake Trout, you'll have a hard time finding a better place to search for it than Flathead Lake. Fifteen to twenty pound "Lakers" Are a fairly common occurrence, and trophies are fairly common as well.
